Privacy Policy
How Shy Guru handles your data
Shy Guru is built for private social support. This policy explains what we collect, why we use it, what may be sent to our AI provider, and how you can control your chat history, memory and saved scripts.

Your control matters
You should be able to view, edit or delete saved memory, delete chat history, and understand what Shy Guru stores.
The short version
This may include account details, chat messages, saved scripts, memory preferences, subscription status and technical data.
This is needed so Shy Guru Companion can generate replies, scripts, explanations and support tools.
Memory should be visible, editable and deletable. You can turn it off if you do not want Shy Guru to remember patterns for future support.
We do not sell your chat content or emotional information to advertisers.
The organisation responsible for your data
Shy Guru is the website and service available at shy-guru.com. Shy Guru Companion is the guided AI support experience inside the website.

What happens when you use Shy Guru Companion
When you send a message to Shy Guru Companion, your message, the selected tool mode, relevant recent chat context and any approved memory needed for the response may be sent to our AI provider to generate a reply.
OpenAI API, or another AI provider if changed before launch. This section should be updated if the provider changes.
Your message, selected support tool, recent conversation context, approved memory and basic technical information needed for the AI request.
Do not share passwords, payment card numbers, identity documents, private details about other people, or sensitive information that is not needed for support.
At the time this policy was drafted, OpenAI states that it does not train models on business customer data by default. This should be checked again before launch and updated if your AI provider or account settings change.
How Shy Guru memory works
Memory is meant to remember useful support patterns, not every detail of your life.
Examples of useful memory
Prefers short scripts. Finds phone calls difficult. Wants gentle but direct support. Tends to over-explain when anxious.
Your memory controls
You should be able to view memory items, edit them, delete them, turn memory off and clear all memory.
Sensitive details
Shy Guru should avoid storing unnecessary sensitive details as memory unless you clearly choose to save them.
Services that may process data
We may use trusted providers to run the website, provide AI responses, process payments and send emails.
Used to host the WordPress website, app pages and database.
Used to generate Shy Guru Companion replies and tool outputs.
Used to process subscriptions and billing. Card details should be handled by the payment provider.
Used for password resets, account emails, support replies and subscription messages.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights, prevent abuse, respond to legal requests or protect someone from serious harm.
How long we keep data
We should not keep personal data longer than needed. Exact retention periods should be confirmed before launch.
Kept while your account is active, then deleted or anonymised after account closure unless needed for legal, tax, security or dispute reasons.
Kept so you can return to previous conversations, unless you delete it or your account is deleted.
Kept while memory is enabled, unless you edit, delete or clear memory.
Kept as needed for subscriptions, accounting, tax, chargebacks, refunds and legal obligations.
